ONE WORD: Never underestimate the power of one word. Several years ago, while attending a North Carolina Leadership Retreat for the United Methodist Conference a book was introduced called It by Craig Groeschel. One of the major concepts was to identify one word to serve as a guide for church programs and I decided to extend the one word idea to business and life in general.
I choose a new word every year and make sure to post it on my vision board in my office. Last January I chose the word PEACE. If something doesn’t bring me peace, I ask myself “why” and then choose to change it or move away from it. I added a few other words to PEACE:
P – Presence (Be in the moment!)
E – Enthusiasm (Let my spirit shine!)
A – Adventure (Go for it Merikay in business, life & friendships!)
C – Care (Self care and be with people that care!)
E – Engage (Enjoy fun recreation daily!)
What’s your one word for the rest of 2025? Write it down. Put it on your vision board, cell phone, planner, computer or bathroom mirror. Let your word come alive and be your compass to make every day count.
You got this!
Blessings,
Merikay
