Encouragement for 2026 from COACH MKay for Next Level Performance: 1-Follow your purpose 2-Identify your core values to align with work and life 3-Focus on 3 words to map out your year.
This is the content I shared last week during a presentation for the MGMA chapter meeting in Greensboro NC and I was grateful to one of my longtime coaching clients and good friend, Janet Woodall, owner of Rockingham Revenue Services for the invitation.
First: What is your purpose? My purpose is to be a catalyst for positive, purposeful change and help people go to the next level in leadership. (Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren and Start with Why, by Simon Sinek are great resources) Working in your purpose brings joy, peace, energy and fulfillment.
Second: What are your company core values? My company core values are: Transformation, Communication, Integrity, Dedication, Enthusiasm, Education, Excellence. Core values or guiding principles provide a foundation for decision making, shapes company culture and boosts employee engagement.
Third: What word or words would you like to serve as your compass for 2026?
My three words on my vision board: Bloom, Boundaries and Legacy. These words help with direction and focus. Remember, say “No” to the Good so you can say “Yes” to the Great.
Surround yourself with positive, purposeful people and evaluate your systems. Make sure they are working correctly for you or make necessary adjustments for optimal success. Having an accountability partner can have a positive impact on your results and consider quarterly goals instead of yearly goals.
